Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much do the courses/workshops cost?

8 Week Courses: These run at £10 per hour, meaning the total cost for 8 weeks (2 hour sessions a week) is £160.

Flexible payment plans to suit you are available and we will always do our best to accommodate as many different situations as we can, no questions asked, so please don't let the cost put you off starting a conversation - we'd love to hear from you.

One-Day Workshops: These are £25pp (plus Eventbrite booking fees, which are currently £2.80). This includes a light lunch and refreshments.

Q. Can I still attend if I am facing financial challenges?

Yes absolutely, our courses are aimed at helping everybody in need and with the cost of living crisis as it is we encourage you to reach out if you are struggling.

Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?

For 8-week course a £20 deposit is requested to secure your place, which is then taken off the final balance.

For the Day-Workshops the full payment is required upfront via our ticket provider, Eventbrite.

Q. Do you offer a payment plan?

We do offer payment plans for the 8 week courses, there are two standard options available:

  • Option 1: £20 Deposit, followed by 7 weekly payments of £20.

    Please note:
Payments begin the week after the deposit is paid, and are not related to the week of the course commencing.

  • Option 2: £20 Deposit, plus 2 monthly payments of £70.

Will we also take into consideration any personal circumstance, and offer discounted rates for those receiving government support. Please reach out to discuss payment options, there may also be sponsored places available.

Q. What if I need to cancel my course or change dates?

You can cancel up to 2 weeks prior to the course starting, and your deposit will be returned, minus a £10 admin fee. Alternatively, we can book you on to a future course and move your deposit over to the new dates.

If you cancel, or request to change dates, within 2 weeks, but before 48 hours of the course starting, your deposit will be non-refundable, but no further course fees will be charged. You are very welcome to book on to another course, however, a new deposit would be required.

Should you decide to pull out of the course 48 hours prior to it starting (or is it has already started) the full remaining balance will be payable.

If you're on the weekly payment plan and have already paid more than the usual £20 deposit and would like to cancel within the cancellation timelines, you will be refunded all except the £10 admin fee. If it's within the 2-week - 48 hour timeframe, you will be refunded all except the £20 deposit.

We've tried very hard to not issue penalties for cancellations etc, but unfortunately there have been a few no-shows that have resulted in us having to take these measures.

We do understand that anxiety and fear can be a big hurdle to overcome when starting group therapy, however, we are always on hand to help you in whatever way you need, be it by providing detailed directions and parking instructions, phone calls before the initial sessions, or meeting you in person beforehand. You are not alone in this journey.

Q. What happens if I miss a session?

Each weekly workshop is not designed to be standalone but as part of a structured 8-week programme. Therefore we strongly encourage you to attend all 8 workshops to maximise the benefit. Sadly, if a workshop is missed we cannot refund part of the course fee for the missed workshop, and those on a payment plan would still be required to pay for the missed week(s).

If you have to drop out of the course part way through, we will do our best to support you and try, if possible, to include you on another course to enable you to complete the full 8 weeks. Sadly if this is not possible, we cannot refund part of the fees for the missed workshops.

Q. What sort of online community do you provide for the group?

After the first workshop of each course, we encourage participants to set up a private WhatsApp group for the exclusive use of the course attendees. It is a secure space where you can continue to provide support and encouragement to each other as the course progresses. All users of the group need to agree to remain respectful, non-judgemental, and supportive of each other. Anyone not doing so will be removed from the group and potentially from the course (though this has never happened yet).

All attendees also gain access to a private Facebook support Group, which is a wonderful community of past attendees and a great space for keeping the conversation going and arranging social meet-ups etc.

Q. Where are the courses held? Are they face-to-face or online?

We do offer the occasional virtual group for those who aren't based locally, or have trouble accessing transport. Most of our courses though are entirely face-to-face and are held in various locations around Hampshire in the South of England.

The one-day workshops are held through-out the country - register your interest with us so we know where we're needed next!

Q. Do I need to bring anything?

Just an open mind! Everything else will be provided on day 1 of the course. Teas, coffees and biscuits are also included (please advise us of any allergies).

A light lunch is also provided during the One-Day workshops.

Q. Are the locations accessible and is parking available?

All our locations have accessible access and toilet facilities. Most have onsite parking, close public carparks or good public transport links. Contact us to discuss when our next course starts and we will provide all the information needed.

Q. Do you offer private counselling?

Yes we do! If you feel like you'd benefit from some private sessions, either before joining a group, or afterwards to continue your journey, we can absolutely accommodate you.
